	OUR DOWNTOWN TEAM Evelyne Fleury-Milfort, RNP, CDE—AHC Diabetes Educator/Nurse Practitioner: Evelyne Fleury-Milfort practices as a diabetes educator and a nurse practitioner. She has been at USC since 1991. She previously worked as diabetes program coordinator at Northridge Hospital Medical Center and has been very active in the diabetes community doing professional and public education. She has served as president of the Diabetes Teaching Nurses of Southern California and the Greater Los Angeles Association of Diabetes Educators. Her clinical interest focuses on, intensive management of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, insulin pump therapy, and self-management education to empower individuals with diabetes to successfully manage their condition for optimal health and quality of life. Her areas of research interest are treatments and devices to help improve diabetes care. Janet Kaufman, RD, CDE—AHC Dietitian: Janet Kauffman has worked as an outpatient dietitian for many years. Her accomplishments include recognition as a Fellow by the American Dietetic Association. Her particular area of clinical interest is wellness in diabetes and cardiovascular health. Jorge Mestman, MD—AHC Diabetologist/Endocrinologist Received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center. He is a Diplomate of the Boards of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. Dr. Mestman's practice is limited to diabetes, endocrine, and metabolic diseases. Peter Singer, MD—AHC Diabetologist/Endocrinologist: Peter A. Singer, M.D. is Professor of Clinical Medicine, Chief of Clinical Endocrinology, and Director of the Thyroid Diagnostic Center at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. He is a graduate of the University of California Medical School at San Francisco, and did his residency and fellowship training at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism.
